Winter Blues Diffuser Blends

Anyone else out there start feeling a little crazy this time of year? Spring is just around the corner, but we are still in the throes of winter here in North Carolina. Around this time I start getting antsy and am ready to spend more time outdoors in the sunshine. I often have days where I wake up just feeling blah. Going to the gym most definitely helps on those mornings and I’m thankful for my wonderful Crossfit gym that is basically in my neighborhood. I’ve also discovered some diffuser blends that help to boost my mood. I usually start my diffuser first thing in the morning and then again about midday. I let it run each time for 1-2 hours. You will notice a lot of citrus oils in the mix as they are known for being energizing.

Note: If you are not currently using essential oils, then you may think me crazy for saying that they can help alter your feelings/moods. Take a look at this study that talks about how smells and aromatherapy can affect our emotional well being.

Mental Clarity

  • 2 drops rosemary
  • 2 drops lavender
  • 3 drops bergamot

Engergize

  • 2 drops lime
  • 2 drops lemon
  • 2 drops wild orange

Wake Up

  • 3 drops peppermint
  • 3 drops wild orange

Get Motivated

  • 2 drops black pepper
  • 2 drops frankincense
  • 2 drops lime
  • 2 drops wild orange

Happy and Healthy

  • 3 drops wild orange
  • 5 drops immunity blend

A Little Bit of Sunshine

  • 4 drops spearmint
  • 4 drops lime

Happy and Clean

  • 1 drop lemon
  • 2 drops wild orange
  • 1 drop lime
  • 1 drop grapefruit

Cloud Chaser

  • 4 drops bergamot
  • 2 drops spearmint

Afternoon Pick-Me-Up

  • 2 drops grapefruit
  • 2 drops spearmint
  • 2 drops wild orange
